Pennsylvania PROMISe™ – 835 Remittance Advice Companion Guide
The Department of PublicWelfare (DPW) will be making a change in the values returned on the ANSI X12 835. Currently, if the claim ispaidthe 835 Remittance Advice (RA) response is returned with a value of “3” in the CLP02 claim status field.With this change, the 835 will return avalue of 1,2 or 3 in the CLP02 field based on how PAMedical Assistance (MA) paid the claim. This change isscheduled for implementation on July31, 2009.The PROMISeTM 835 RA Companion Guide will be updated closer to the implementation dates.
